Where the holistic journey began, and faith takes root.
A Homestead Heart, A Herbal Hand
At a young age, NaeNae was drawn to the gentle rhythms of homestead and faith-based life.
Her grandmother’s country home in Cleveland, Texas—no air conditioning, party line phone, the garden, the hen house, the little white church next door, and the forest—was a haven of old-fashioned wisdom and old-fashioned religion. NaeNae and Grandma Hunter spent hours foraging for plants, seeds, and healing treasures, crafting herbal concoctions to support the community.
A particular favorite memory is the Sunday morning walk ritual through the forest over the friendship bridge to the small white church next door.
Grandma, the best homesteader in the county and a quiet steward of the land, taught her that wellness begins with faith, care, tradition, helping others, and a touch of joy. Coincidentally, NaeNae's middle name is Joy!
Fast Forward
Fast forward fifty years. Life happened. Adolescent years, young adulthood, raising a family, and navigating a world far removed from the gentle rhythms of Grandma’s homestead. The forest foraging, herbal concoctions, and healing helpfulness faded into memory—tucked away beneath the noise of modern living. NaeNae found herself in a life that was busy, structured, and distant from the simple, homeopathic ways she once cherished. But the roots never left her.
